    HUMAN NATURE AND THE LEGENDARY SMOKEY ROBINSON are set to bring their incredible vocal talents to the Hunter Valley for a special one night only performance at the Wyndham Estate on Saturday December 12, 2009.

    Proudly presented by New Vine Entertainment, the Wyndham Estate Show will see Human Nature, Australia's most successful vocal group, take a short break from their critically acclaimed 2009 headlining run at The Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and return to their home state for their first live performance in over 14 months. Their mentor, friend and legendary singer songwriter Smokey Robinson will join Human Nature on stage together and solo for what will be a magical night at the picturesque Wyndham Estate. The show will herald the first time in 20 years that Smokey will perform in concert on an Australian stage. Together, the performers will bring their smooth vocal harmonies and a true friendship bonded by respect and homage to the songbook of arguably one of the most influential periods in musical history - the Motown Sound.

    A true legend, Smokey Robinson, was a major contributor in defining the Motown sound - operating out of the Hitsville U.S.A. studio in Detroit, Motown Records defined what popular music could be; and Smokey Robinson was integral to the label's success. One of Berry Gordon's first signings, Smokey delivered a string of hits with his band The Miracles including singles like 'The Tracks of My Tears' and 'Tears of a Clown'. With their pounding rhythm tracks, jubilant string arrangements and that intoxicating, instantly recognisable falsetto, Smokey's recorded output is the cornerstone of The Motown Sound. He was also the primary songwriter for the Temptations from 1963-6, penning stone cold classics like 'My Girl' and 'Get Ready'. Also serving as Motown's vice president for over a quarter century. Between his series of singles with The Miracles, a successful solo career, writing several smashes for other artists and even holding an executive position Smokey Robinson is the undisputed "King of Motown."

    Even at 69 that legacy burns brighter than it ever has before with his ultra-smooth soul and ever-personable nature, Robinson continues to record quality music as he celebrates 50 years in the music industry. To co-incide with the Australian show, Robinson will be releasing his new studio album 'Time Flies When You're Having Fun' through Sony Music Entertainment Australia on November 20th. The album features original recordings excepting a remake of Norah Jones 'Don't Know Why' plus duets with India Arie and Joss Stone.

    Robinson visited Australia for a promotional tour two years ago in support of Human Nature's final Motown release 'Get Ready' forming a genuine bond with Human Nature and Australian audiences.

    Commenting on the upcoming show, Smokey Robinson said; "I am delighted to be returning to Australia in December and am very much looking forward to performing with Human Nature and to Australian audiences in what we hope will be a celebration of live music."

    Human Nature - Toby Allen, Phil Burton, Andrew Tierney,and Michael Tierney celebrate their 20th anniversary as a group this year. Since signing with Sony Music in 1994, Human Nature have earned 23 platinum awards and toured throughout the world. Their largest audience was at the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 where they performed before 4 billion viewers worldwide. The group has had 17 Top 40 Hits and Five Top Ten Hits since 1996 as well as four ARIA #1 records. International touring highlights include opening the Asian and European tours for both Michael Jackson and Celine Dion. The group have toured Australia extensively headlining their own national tours during their celebrated career in Australia.

    Human Nature have dedicated 2009 to establishing their live performance and recording career in the U.S. courtesy of headlining run of shows at The Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The show is presented by their mentor & friend Smokey Robinson and billed as "The Ultimate Celebration of the Motown Sound" continuing to run now through May, 2010, excepting this short break to bring back their Las Vegas show to Australia for the one night only show at Wyndham Estate on December 12th.

    U.S audiences and critics have embraced their infectious energy, amazing vocal talents and showmanship;

    They not only deliver, they surpass expectations. This is one terrific show."
    Ellen Sterling, broadwayworld.com.

    "Human Nature is that good. In fact, it would be difficult to imagine a better "celebration of Motown." Ellen Sterling, broadwayworld.com.

    "Human Nature, the new male vocal group from down under, impressed Smokey Robinson and now seems to have won the hearts of American audiences" Sandy Zimmerman Las Vegas Tribune.

    "If you're a Motown fan (and who isn't) then you??re in for a treat" Rachel M Sugay.

    Human Nature released their first US album - Reach Out in the U.S. on September 1st via SIN Records, a division of Sony Music. Reach Out is being released exclusively via Barnes & Noble physically and will be available widely digitally. The album will be released to all U.S. retailers physically on February 2, 2010.

    Upon news of the announcement, Andrew Tierney, Human Nature said; "Moving our lives to Las Vegas has been the empowering, challenging and motivating for all of us. We are really enjoying all our shows and the opportunities we have secured whilst in the U.S. That said, it's truly a dream come to true to bring our Las Vegas show back home and with the added honour of sharing the stage and evening with the incredible Smokey Robinson - bring it on!"
